It’s my honor to stand here to make thespeech. The topic of my speech is “Protect the environment, Protect ourselves”.
With the fast development of society, the environment problem is becoming more and more severe. Cutting trees down
excessively,littering, much emissions of polluted air and water have made the earth devastated.
But what can we do to solve the pollution?
I think, firstly, we canmake cars that don’t pollute the environment. In some big cities, we can limit the number of cars.Secondly, we can try to use less water and make sure that we do not pollute thewater. We can tell factories that they are not allowed to pour waste water intothe lakes and rivers. Thirdly, we should not throw rubbish in parks and cities.We can pick up rubbish if we see it. We can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. Fourthly, we can live far from the noise and make the laws to limitthe noise.
As far as I’m concerned, government should push some laws out to demand people to protect the environment. Such laws can make the companies limit their behavior so that they would probably reduce theemission of polluted and air. Laws are always a kind of warming that people aresupposed not to pollute the earth. The most important point is that government should combine the environment protection with the education so that children can be aware of the importance of environment protection at a young age.
