Good morning,
Ladies and gentlemen!Today I want to share with you a little observatoin I have. There are four animal symbols out of the five Friendlies：Beibei is the Fish, Jingjing is the Panda, Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope,andNini is the Swallow.Each of them stands for a crucial part of the environment: Beibei the fish for the water, Jingjing the panda for the forest Yingying the Tibetan Antelope for the mountain, and Nini the swallow for the sky. From this observation I find out how important the environment is for the Beijing Olympics, and I understand more about the government’s manifest of “The Green Olympics”.
As is well known, Beijing City has been short of water for a long time, and the situation is becoming worse and worse. It will become a big problem for the Beijing Olympic Games. So I decide to do what I, a young student can to protect the environment: I start to save water for Beijing, for 2008, for the Olympic Games.
In the first month, I found a lot of ways of saving water. When washing dishes, I fill one sink with soup water and the other with rinse water. In this way, I can clean the dish without the water run while rinsing. In the same way, I wash the fruits and vegetables in a pan of water instead of running water from the tap. And then I keep the rinsing water so that I can reuse it to water houseplants. (最好再来几个好点子)
At last, I made a water saving plan for myself and my family. I ask them to follow the saving steps and tell everybody they know about this plan. In this way, more and more people will start to save water for the Olympic Games. And Beibei the fish will be grateful for what we do for the environment.
