I felt my patience beginning to itch.Looking into my wire basket I counted ten items:giant bottles of coke crammed in beside a bag of potatoes,Somewhere at the bottom,I thought, there was always eggs or a see-thorugh tray of tomatoes which fell casualty to the rest.There was nothin else for it-I'd just have to wait.
The cashier was looking expectantly at me and I realzied that I had totalled up.I had an inclination that the people behind me were becoming impatient.
