北京晨报9月3日报道“‘怪兽’！天池又出现‘怪兽’了！”9月2日，一些国内游客和20多名韩国游客在吉林省长白山南坡旅游时，发现了在天池中游动的数只不明生物。
据长白山南坡景区管理有限公司司机李军介绍，2日上午他们拉着20多名韩国游客到长白山南坡旅游。9点多钟到达山顶时，天上云彩比较厚，有微风，天池中倒映着云彩和少许蓝天。
突然，他发现天池中靠近东部的湖中有波纹，开始以为是风，后来发现是一些黑点自北向南游来，在后面留下很长的波纹。他就喊：“快看，天池‘怪兽’出来了！”
现场总共有四五十名国内外游客，大家争相观看，一些人拿出相机拍照，他自己也用手机拍了照片，但很不清楚。
李军说，这些“不明游动物”越游越近，他看见了一些黑点，从望远镜里看是6只“怪兽”，根据比例测算，应该比人大，游速相当于普通人游泳的速度。它们分前后两组向南游来，快到天池岸边时，转向东坡方向游去。在离岸边大约100米处，前三个黑点消失在水下。十几秒后，后三个黑点游到前三个黑点消失处时，那里忽然翻了个大水花，出来个比这几个黑点大十几倍的大黑点，然后这些黑点同时消失，再没有出现。

Tianchi literally means "heavenly pool", but visitors should be warned about a variety of factors that may make your trip a little less than perfect. The climate around the lake is often less than merciful, and travelers often complain about shrouding mists and rain that falls out of the blue. The lake area is also often fairly full of tourists, and the usual litter that accompanies them. Finally the lake comes attached with myths, most alarming is reports of dragons or monsters that dwell in the depths.
