In the Han Dynasty, there was a man named Kuang Heng who was diligent and studious. The family is very poor, so he must work during the day and study at night. But they can't afford candles. When it gets dark, they can't read books. At night, his neighbor's house lights candles to make it bright.

Kuang Heng quietly cut a small hole in the wall, and the candle light came through. With this faint light, I began to read books hungrily, and gradually finished reading all the books in my home.

This is a well-known story from an ancient Chinese idiom. A boy, being poor, couldn't afford even a candle, so he bored a hole in the wall，through which a weak ray of light from his neighbor's house came in, and he was absorbed in his reading. The moral of the story is: spare no effort to acquire knowledge and never get discouraged easily no matter how difficult the situation may be.
