以下是关于节日的13篇优选英语作文,每篇作文均简洁且直接地描述了不同的节日体验:

1. Dragon Boat FestivalThe Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. My mother and grandmother start making zongzi, the traditional rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, the day before the festival. Of course, I try to help, but often end up being more of a hindrance. After wrapping the zongzi, they boil them, which takes a long time, meaning I have to wait until the next day to enjoy them. The zongzi are delicious. On the day of the festival, we prepare dinner after breakfast. Everyone in the family comes home for this lavish meal, where chicken is a musthave dish, along with many other mouthwatering foods. I eat a lot and have a wonderful time.

2. MidAutumn FestivalAmong the many traditional Chinese festivals, my favorite is the MidAutumn Festival. It signifies harvest, as it is celebrated during the harvest season. It is also a time for farmers to be grateful for their harvest. Additionally, it is a day of reunion, sometimes called the Festival of Reunion. People who work or study far away will return home to reunite with their families. They enjoy a hearty dinner and mooncakes together. I hate parting and love reunions, so my favorite festival is the MidAutumn Festival.

3. National DayToday is the festival I have been looking forward to“National Day”. In the morning, I dress up and travel with my father and mother. We visit Huangyadong, located in Licheng County, Changzhi City. The scenery here is breathtaking, with clear and transparent lake water. Upon entering, we see cliffs on both sides that seem to meet at the top, creating a narrow gap that resembles a single line of sky. Higher up, we reach the Gaoshan Park, surrounded by peculiar peaks and rocks. Continuing our climb, we step into the ruins of the arsenal, which is 72 meters deep, 18 meters wide, and 25 meters high. This place was once the site of the famous “Huangyadong Defensive Battle”. Huangyadong is truly a great place for patriotism education and tourism for teenagers.

4. Another Happy National DayToday is the annual National Day, a delightful day. My parents and I go to the zoo. Upon entering, we see a crowd of people, resembling a long dragon or a joyful sea. There are so many animals in the zoo! There are cute rabbits, clumsy gorillas, and beautiful peacocks. In the distance, mandarin ducks are playing in the water. When I throw food at them, they rush over to grab it, so cute. The most interesting are the monkeys near the iron gate, jumping around, and a group of macaques fighting over bottles! Whenever someone teases them with a bottle, they quickly come over to grab it. Some naughty children give them cola, and they eagerly take it and drink it in large gulps. These are truly naughty and clever monkeys! Today is such a good day. I want to sing out loud, “I love you, my country!”

5. My Favorite FestivalSpring FestivalMy favorite festival is the Spring Festival. It is a very important festival in Chinese culture. In fact, it is the highlight of the year. Everyone returns home to reunite with their families. We have a grand feast and chat about everything that has happened in our lives. We can also set off fireworks. But we never forget that this is a holiday to express gratitude. We thank our families and everything we have. Finally, we think ahead to our future and the wonderful new year.

6. ChristmasMy favorite festival is Christmas. It is not a traditional Chinese festival but a foreign one. Christmas is like the Spring Festival to them. As society develops, more and more foreigners come to China. Subsequently, Christmas has become popular in China. Seeing Christmas decorations and Christmas trees excites me. I also like Santa Claus, who quietly gives us Christmas gifts. On that day, people greet each other by saying “Merry Christmas.” Celebrating a foreign festival is truly wonderful.

7. Mother’s DayYesterday was Mother’s Day. Since my mother is the most important person to me, I took her to a park to make her happy. We played boats, shooting games, football games, and took many photos. Afterward, we went to an Italian restaurant for a delicious dinner. We had a great time, and my mother said I was the most important person to her.

8. Children’s DayI love Children’s Day because I can get many candies from my parents on that day. At school, I play many games. There are no classes on Children’s Day. Everyone celebrates it, and it belongs to me. I like that day, and my parents also celebrate it.

9. The Lantern Festival The Lantern Festival is another significant festival in China, celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. It is a time for families to gather and appreciate beautiful lanterns. On this day, streets are adorned with colorful lanterns of various shapes and sizes. In the evening, we have a family dinner with glutinous rice balls, a traditional food for the Lantern Festival.

传统节日英语作文篇2

The passage mainly tells us the importance of protecting traditional Chinese culture, which is challenged or facing extinction because of the developing society and changing lifestyle. Besides, China is nationwide sparing no efforts to do it.

The protection of national and folk culture is of great significance to Chinese cultural diversity and also to the harmonious development between local economic and social development. It is reported that the Guangdong government pays special attention to protecting Chaoju***潮剧***, a local drama born in Chaozhou in the eastern Guangdong province.

In my opinion, some measures should be taken to protect traditional culture effectively. To start with, we should make a law to regulate the society’s performance. Besides, we should draw more people’s attention to it, for the more they know about the importance of culture protection, the stronger the support we can get from the public.

In a word, it is high time for us to treasure and develop our own valuable culture.

传统节日英语作文篇3

The Mid-Autumn festival is a traditional festival in our country. It originated from the tang dynasty, when the moon was the center of the moon. In the qingming period, it became a "festival of folk custom".

The Mid-Autumn festival is second only to the Spring Festival. The Mid-Autumn festival is the time of the flower and the moon. People thought of the reunion of the world from the moon in the sky. Therefore, the Mid-Autumn festival is called "reunion" in ancient times. People yearn for the round circle. Reunions are ideal for the Chinese people. "I hope that the people will be long, the beautiful wishes of the people." The Mid-Autumn festival attaches great importance to the cultivation and expression of family affection, and has an irreplaceable role in promoting social harmony.

I like Mid-Autumn festival very much. When it es to the Mid-Autumn festival, our family will enjoy the moon, moon cakes and watch the Mid-Autumn festival. This year the Mid-Autumn festival, our family reunion together, everybody say *** ile, but happy. The moon was not as bright as the Mid-Autumn festival. But it was beautiful. The moon sometimes looked like a shy, beautiful maiden, and the wind brother said a few words, and hid behind the clouds, and covered a veil, and looked more delicate and charming. Now and then, like a naughty child, look at us for the holidays! I saw it, and I couldn't help it. Dad heard it and asked, "what are you laughing at?" I said, deliberately and mysteriously, "secrets."

How do you know about the Mid-Autumn festival?
