记得有一次，老师布置作业让我们抄写古诗的诗意，可我不知道我抄的对不对，就问其他抄完诗意的同学借，可他们都不给我看。这时，花叶果主动走过来把语文书借给了我，我真感激不尽。我看完了，就顺手翻了翻他的课本，里面密密麻麻，我仔细一看，上面都是对课文的注解、句子含义的解释、词语的意思和相关资料，我惊讶地问他：“你是什么时候记得这些呀？”
花叶果笑着说：“我每次课前预习都要在课文上做词语和句子的注释，还要给父母读几遍，每篇都有父母签的字。”
我发自内心地说：“花叶果，你真会学习呀！”
花叶果很淡定地说：“我每次预习争取把每篇课文都背下来。”
我惊奇地问他：“你不累吗？”
